When a teenager lands a babysitting job they literally think that is the best thing in the world. So when my twin daughters got their first babysitting job for a family down the street I was very proud of them. But when one of my daughters called me hysterical wanting to know what to do for constipation I began to think maybe they were in over their heads! I quickly told her to calm down first of all and then I asked her why she was worried about constipation.
She proceeds to tell me that the four-year-old child they are babysitting is in the bathroom on the toilet crying because they are constipated. I began to tell her to calm the child down first and then take him into the kitchen and cut up a pear out of the refrigerator and share a pear with him. She thought I was insane to tell her to feed the child but in all actuality a pear is packed full of fiber and the fiber will help the child move their bowels.
